Attend if you can, as it helps the whole team move forward. Depending on the means of those attending, we'll use a text chat or Skype.

I just realized I won't be able to make this one; my HARP group changed their training day from Thursday to Friday. It's too late to change the time for this week, so you guys go ahead without me. I'll speak to JR and disco beforehand so they can pass on the key points I wanted to bring up at the meeting.
We'll discuss what day/time will be better for everyone after the meeting or possibly during it.

We can bump the meeting to Saturday night if that's OK with everyone.

That's no good either... I'll be heading to Dagger Deep for my first full session that day. It'll likely be a whole day thing, and I'll be wiped when I get back.

I can do Saturday, thus far I have nothing important planned. Can we do any earlier since it's the weekend? Maybe 9EST?

Hmm, I can't promise that I'll make it on time. I like to wait until my wife and kid are asleep to have the meeting. They usually go to bed around 10PM EST. Besides you and I, disco, who else is showing up?

i don't know, i refer to this board for that kind of info so your guess is as good as mine. Aeo hasn't checked in for a while, and no word from blue. i'll still meet with you, but i feel like we're two hands and no brain without our writer present. i did do a little writing for the classes and maybe you can tell me if the ideas are feasible from your perspective, but i'm just as happy to wait for red to be available. what works for you?

I'm leaving the character design part up to you guys, though I'd be happy to give my 2 cents. I do want to hear about these factions that Red mentioned. Are you familiar with them?
I signed up for the meeting on Doodle however you have it set for Monday. Is this correct?

Sorry I missed it, but since Doodle wasn't working for me there was no way for me to know when this meeting was. I think someone said six to me somewhere so I hung around for a bit then but nobody was here. Hopefully you guys made some progress. I'll be back tomorrow.

Meeting Notes - Monster ConceptualizationI posted rough sketches for monster classes on the board titled Class sketches go HERE. The Basic, AoE, and Special attacks were discussed for most of the characters. Some ideas presented deviate from what had already been proposed on the boards. For instance, the Healer class was represented by an Angel/Succubus in the sketches and the class with the working title "Creature" was created to mimic the abilities of the FP Mage. Special attacks for the new characters were scrutinzed from a programming perspective. Most of these ideas stemmed from a third evolution, or upgrade, of the new classes. In response to the request Aeolus made for a gender-neutral Witch, the costume has been re-imagined for mass appeal. Given that Witches are a predominant theme for the game, we will probably see many variations of this class. I introduced a new concept for the roster of playable characters. The youngest sister is represented as an incarnation of the Pumpkin Witch since she had been previously described as the leader of Pumpkinhead's army, and the two female characters possess immense power. The character would not deal or receive damage, but she would summon beings that could do both. Certain glitch techniques that are favored among the FP community will be retained for the FP2 Fan Project: Warrior Dash, Dash Grab, and Map Cancelling were among the ones listed. Classes to match the existing DLC Roles were reconsidered. JRooster76 suggested creating a Fire Imp with an explosive attack to match the Pirate's cannonball. The attack would come at a health cost so that players would use the ability judiciously. We didn't go over the agenda for the next meeting, but I'm assuming we will be assessing the characters that have not yet been sketched. I plan to start doing representations of the Shaman, the Troll, the Fire Demon, and the Ghost for the next time around. There will also probably be a new costume for the witch. Also, I feel like now that we have an idea of who our characters are, we can place them in their natural environments. If each class gets its own setting, there will be about 11 or 12 different maps, which is just about the same as the number of maps in FP. I believe that this would also be a good time to give more depth to the storyline. It would help tie the disparate parts of this game together. The next meeting will be held on Friday, October 11th at 11pm EST!

Continuing on what disco said about the swamp creature, it would have 2 main attacks: acid burn and slime. Both of these are projectile attacks. The acid burn would cause damage over time similar to the fire mage. The slime attack would hinder movement. It also has AoE attacks for each. When charging the AoE attack, the creature would expand in size similar to a puffer fish. This would cause the creature to move a bit slower. It would then release a plume of acid or glob of slime within a defined area. I think this a great idea since it solves the issue of having 2 versions of the witch character (one from the story and one as a playable character).
The ET character would mimic the ranger. It has an arm cannon that can fire single light shots as well as a powered up shot. The power shot is done by holding the attack button. It also has a shield (we need to talk about this a bit more as it may throw off the balance). Another interesting feature is the ability to control enemy players (we need to work out the details here as well). I also suggested the ability to create a decoy/clone character.
We also spoke about having a shaman character that can wield both light/dark magic. It would fill the light/dark priest role.
As far as the fire demon character, I'm thinking that it could be one of the monsters that the girl conjures up. Thoughts?
